Quantum Eating Diary: 2/16/2010

I just had one of the best night’s sleep in a LONG time! Although I finished eating by 7pm yesterday, I fell asleep before 9:30pm and slept until 4:30am (I woke up to go to the bathroom, lol)

Now it’s 4:34am as I type this–I think if I finish eating by 5pm I should be able to sleep NINE hours straight instead of the 7 hour stretch I just did.

I think Tonya and all who advocate not eating at night are on to something …

I’m looking forward to having a nice watermelon breakfast (not any time soon since I’m not hungry) …

I will try to go back asleep in a few minutes ….

I just finished my final meal at 4 minutes after 5pm–I feel like I FEASTED today although I’m eating a fraction of the food I normally eat (makes sense because I went from eating around the clock to only eating from about 7am to 5pm, lol)

I’m looking forward to another great night’s sleep!

… there’s really something to finishing your meals earlier in the day.

For the longest time (probably since I became 100% lfrv) I woke up a few times in the night to use the bathroom. the longest I would sleep in a stretch was 3 hours.

The funniest thing is that I also would wake up to take care of Andrew, but the difference with caring for him and using the bathroom is that it was much easier for me to fall back asleep after soothing Andrew than from using the bathroom.

I couldn’t get over how REFRESHED I felt when I woke up this morning. It’s been AGES since I slept 7 hours straight (I’m talking since before I became pregnant with Andrew, lol)

I’m really looking forward to going to bed tonight–If I can sleep 9 hours in a row …I’m SOLD on this philosophy.

I remember when I tried this once back in 2008 I felt great, but I think stopping at 2pm was too extreme for me and that was why I didn’t continue despite the benefits I felt.

5pm is more doable–If I’m not mistaken I believe Tonya recommends those new to Quantum Eating to stop eating after 6pm or something like that.

I also think that this philosophy is best for those eating a 100% raw diet for a while–I see why she wouldn’t recommend this to newcomers.

I really need to order this book!
