Why I No Longer Eat Dinner

I’m sure you wondering why I stopped eating dinner. Well I have a good reason!

I had to stop because I noticed that eating dinner was causing a few undesired side effects.

Because I eat a water rich, 100% raw diet based primarily on juicy fruits, eating a late dinner causes a side effect that was interfering with my life:

I was waking up a couple of times in the night to pee!

Now for some people this isn’t a big deal as they can simply go right back to sleep.

Me, I can’t go back to sleep.  It would take a couple of hours for me to fall back asleep and once I fell back asleep I would wake up soon after.

Yes I would wake up again to use the bathroom!

So after many months of dealing with this side effect I noticed another unwanted side effect happened.

I was SLEEP DEPRIVED!

I knew I needed to do something about this.  Here were my two options:

1.  Wear an adult diaper at night so I could simply pee in it and go back to sleep.

2.  Eat earlier in the day.

Obviously I wasn’t going to wear an adult diaper!

There was a thread started on the Raw Natural Hygiene Forum (http://rawnaturalhygiene.ning.com/) about Tonya Zavasta’s Quantum Eating book.  I will share more insights about this in the future but basically she advocates a 100% raw diet (like me!) and she also advocates no food and no water after 2pm.

I was familiar with Tonya’s work because a friend of mine forwarded her online newsletter to me.  I immediately got on Tonya’s newsletter list and I tried once not eating or drinking after 2pm (this was about two years ago).

I got a great night’s sleep, but it was too extreme of a change for me to adopt (if only I had her book then as she recommends a GRADUAL transition to her system).

Well I’ve been transitioning to “Quantum Eating” now for the past three weeks and it’s working PHENOMENALLY WELL for me!

P.S. Just so you know Tonya only recommends this to those who have been 100% raw for a long time. If you’re new to this or are not 100% raw yet then it’s best to first master the raw diet and then try her system.

    I love reading your progress with raw foods and quantum eating, which I’m really interested in doing. Do you know how long it’s recommended to be raw before trying QE?

    I would say at least a year before trying it out, but your body will let you know when it’s time!
