How Michael Jackson Inspired Me To Go Raw

My companion, Roger Haeske, and I were talking about Michael Jackson last night. We were both shocked upon learning about his death.

A few weeks ago Roger told me a story of how listening to the Michael Jackson song “Beat It” inspired his High School Tennis Team to WIN the championships.

Roger told me the story again last night. I told him my own Michael Jackson story that, ironically, ended up inspiring me in a fascinating way to switch to a raw food diet.

I have a confession: I recently gained 5lbs (of fat, not muscle).

Although it’s much tougher to gain fat on a raw food diet than a cooked food diet (just look at the general population who eats primarily cooked food versus those who eat primarily raw food), it’s not impossible.

No-No Boy’s Surprise

This past Monday my companion, Roger Haeske, tells me he has a surprise for my son, Andrew (aka No-No Boy), and me.

I somehow knew that the surprise was food related –I thought he brought some durian home. I figured since he is my Raw CRACK Dealer, he would satisfy my never-ending desire for my favorite raw foods (durian is up there as one of my favorite raw foods).

He instructs us to follow him outside (now I’m CERTAIN he has some durian). He walks past his car (I guess I was wrong about the durian) towards a tree. I noticed he has a bowl in his hand.
